Please help me conquer arthritis! 

Marvin K. Smith, MD, MS is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, fellowship trained in Sports Medicine who serves as Chief of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Regional Hospital South. He cares for patients with injuries and concerns involving the shoulders, knees, hips, elbows and ankles. This includes athletes of all levels, from professionals to those who are active for recreation or as a part of their occupation. Procedures performed include ACL and multiligament knee reconstruction, meniscus repair and transplant, cartilage restoration and joint preservation, rotator cuff and shoulder instability surgery, patellar stabilization, hip arthroscopy as well as hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery.

Dr. Smith was a high school and collegiate student athlete who played football at Central Michigan University. He always appreciated the work of orthopaedic surgeons who specialized in sports medicine and knew he wanted to join the field to help athletes pursue or continue to live out their dreams.

In addition to caring for individual patients, Dr. Smith is also involved in providing care for sports teams and athletic programs. He has previously cared for student athletes at the University of Miami, University of Virginia as well as the Miami Marlins MLB team. Currently, Dr. Smith serves as Team Physician for the Miami Sharks Major League Rugby team, Florida Memorial University, Florida National University, University of Ft. Lauderdale and is the supervising physician for several professional performance gyms which includes NFL and NBA draft preparation.
