Our Walk to Cure Arthritis team is part of a large arthritis community — united together to help the nearly 60 million Americans, including hundreds of thousands of children, with arthritis live their best lives. This event raises money to advance arthritis treatments and find a cure, develop resources, and take action to improve people’s lives. Our Executive Director / CEO, Tisha Savage has created the community with Revolutionary Pageants in order to give titleholders a space to compete and raise awareness for their causes close to their heart. The Pageant's cause is the Arthritis Foundation in which Tisha is 1 in 4 who Journey with Arthritis. Our International Director, Heidi Petersen was diagnosed with MS and also has shown signs of Arthritis. The International sashes that the delegates compete for in Las Vegas are Emerald Green in honor of the Foundation. Revolutionary focuses on an inclusive and diverse community in which our system even allows those to compete who have a disability. We also have a virtual competition that will allow delegates to compete from their own home. We created this opportunity to provide an additional platform to those who have felt like they do not have a space in this industry which includes being body positive, allowing those with disabilities, accepting all ages, highlighting what sets us apart as humans and welcoming to the LBGTQIA+ community. At each pageant, we will also host a Green Gala in which some of the proceeds will be donated back to the foundation. The Gala at Nationals will be themed 'Emerald City Green Gala' and all proceeds from the silent auction will also be donated back.
