Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event that unites communities across the country to put an end to arthritis. We aren't just helping the millions of people with arthritis to live better; we're charting the course to a cure.

Zoo admission is free with registration
Parking is available at the Zoo Parking lot for $13 dollars, participants that leave the parking lot before 11am will not be charged. Street parking is available as well.

Event Schedule

Sunday, May 5, 2024

  • Walk to Cure Arthritis is rain or shine.
  • Strollers are welcome, no pets are allowed since the event is inside the Zoo besides service animals
  • Needing a wheelchair please reach out to the Zoo to book in advance
  • Bring a blanket if you want to enjoy a seat on the lawn for our ceremony
  • Kids Activity
  • Day of Raffle
  • Food and drinks can be brought into the Zoo, just no glass containers. We will also provide light snacks and water. The Zoo offers food for purchase in multiple locations.

The walk is approximately 1 mile through the Zoo. The opening ceremony will be a celebration of our mission with awards for top teams and hearing from our Medical Honoree Dr. Birnbaum from Pacific Rheumatology Associates.

What to Wear: Put on your favorite walking sneakers! As San Francisco mornings can be chilly, be sure to dress accordingly. The weather forecast predicts sunshine, so don't forget your sunglasses and sunscreen!
