Fueled by her love for music, Sofia transcends her condition, using her voice to soar above the limitations imposed by arthritis she deeply understands the realities of navigating both the physical and mental health challenges that often accompany arthritis. Elise is an advocate of the Arthritis Foundation. As a caregiver for a child with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and a digital therapeutics professional at Medisafe, the leading medication engagement platform that empowers patients to seamlessly manage their treatment journey, she works with many life science clients focused on innovative treatments for chronic conditions.
Dr. Russell has had a long-standing interest in metabolic bone disease and osteoporosis. In addition to the evaluation and care of patients with metabolic bone disease, she has focused her attention on perioperative bone health. Currently, Dr. Russell is the Co-Primary Investigator for an American College of Rheumatology guideline for the treatment of Glucocorticoid-induced Osteoporosis.
