Event Information

Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event that unites communities across the country to put an end to arthritis. We aren't just helping the millions of people with arthritis to live better; we're charting the course to a cure.

Registration closes at 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday, September 20 and will re-open 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, September, 22 (walk day).

Event Schedule

Online registration closes at 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday, September 20. Registration re-opens on walk day at the zoo.

 
  • 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. - Registration/Check-in at the ticket plaza.
  • 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - Sponsors, vendors, music, kids’ activities, photos, coffee, water, granola bars. (location - Palava Hut)
    • 7:15 - 8:15 a.m. - Magician interacting with walkers
    • 8:00 a.m. - Opening Remarks (location - area outside of Palava Hut)
    • 8:15 a.m. - Start "Rockin' the Walk"
    • 8:00 - 10:00 a.m.  - T-shirt Pick-up for participants who have fundraised $100+
    • 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. - Face painting
    • 10:00 a.m. - Basket Raffle Drawing. This event is cashless, please bring a credit card if interested in purchasing raffle tickets.
  • 10:30 a.m. - Walk to Cure Arthritis ends - enjoy the zoo!
  • 5:00 p.m. - Zoo closes

  • The Arthritis Foundation will only be accepting credit cards for donations and raffle purchases on the day of the walk. If you or anyone on your team has collected cash donations, please convert that to a money order or cashier's check and mail it to the Arthritis Foundation. Please do not bring cash or checks to the zoo.
