Tina Gier Ankylosing Spondylitis Adult Honoree Tina is thrilled to be involved with the Arthritis Foundation and humbled to be this year's Jingle Bell Run Adult Honoree. Last May she struggled to walk 1/8 of a mile due to severe foot and back pain. Diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis last October after years of pain and stiffness, Tina regained her mobility with the help of her clinical team and an exceptional physical therapist. Since last May she has lost over 150 pounds, learned to manage her symptoms, improved her condition through nutrition, walked her first Jingle Bell Run and trained to run in this year's event. Tina has a "Yes! We can!" spirit! She loves encouraging people with her overcoming story to help them find their “Yes!” in whatever challenges they are facing.
