 Early in 2023, Analisa went from walking to crawling again, leading us on a journey to uncover the reasons behind this sudden change. Over the course of nine months, we attended over 70 medical appointments to secure a diagnosis of juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
Today, she is making remarkable progress. Despite enduring injections, blood work, and countless hours of travel, she continually shows her strength, shining brightly and bringing immense love into our lives and the world. With her humor, strong will, affection, and thoughtfulness, she deserves the highest quality care, a life free from pain, and the opportunity to thrive.
A principios de 2023, Analisa pasó de caminar a gatear nuevamente, llevándonos por un camino para descubrir las razones por este cambio tan repentino. A lo largo de nueve meses, acudimos a más de 70 consultas médicas para obtener un diagnóstico de Artritis Idiopática Juvenil. Hoy en día, ella está haciendo progresos notables. Dr. Maher, originally from Pittsburgh, now resides with her husband and two children in Alexandria, Virginia. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University where she stayed to complete medical school. She then did a residency in internal medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, following which she began practicing as a hospitalist there and then returned to pursue a fellowship in rheumatology.
