Bennie Lincul Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Youth Honoree At 3 years old Bennett was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). His parents initially thought his wrist was broken due to severe swelling but after multiple doctor and specialist visits, he was diagnosed with JIA. It took over 8 months to find a medicine regimine that worked and for his wrist to finally show improvement. Throughout his diagnosis Bennett never complained, he simply learned to do things around the stiffness that would allow him to continue swimming lessons and tee ball. Armed with his trusty Spidey appointment companion, Bennett walks into every appointment with a smile and a great attitude.
