Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event that unites communities across the country to put an end to arthritis. We aren't just helping the millions of people with arthritis to live better; we're charting the course to a cure.

Parking: Designated parking will be available at the South High School parking lot (1700 E. Louisiana Avenue) and on the streets around Washington Park on a first-come, first-served basis. Please do not block resident driveways or intersections, and obey all posted parking signs, or your car may be ticketed or towed! (Note: The Arthritis Foundation and its volunteers/event planners are not responsible for parking ticket(s) or any other violations incurred before, during or after the Walk to Cure Arthritis event.)

- 8:30 a.m. - Registration Opens
- 9:00 a.m. - Opening Ceremonies
- 9:20 a.m. - Count down to start!
- 9:20 a.m. - Walk begins
- 9:30 a.m. - Festival area opens, and entertainment begins
- 11:00 a.m. - Event concludes- see you at the Jingle Bell Run!
Walk to Cure Arthritis Festival Area
Visit our carnival-themed festival area before and after completing the walk, or join us there the whole time! You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy:
- Pancake breakfast

- Face painting
- Prize drawings and awards
What to Expect
As this is an outdoor event, please come prepared for May weather in Denver. Colorado weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend dressing in layers and bringing along sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a reusable water bottle. There will be refill stations onsite. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for outdoor terrain.
We welcome participants of all abilities and ages to join us in this meaningful event. Whether you prefer to walk, run, roll, or move at your own pace, there's a place for you here.
Our walk route is designed to be accessible to individuals with diverse mobility needs, featuring paved pathways and accommodations for wheelchairs and strollers. Volunteers and staff members will be available along the route to help and support as needed.
Throughout the event, you'll find entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy. From live a live DJ, circus performers, to interactive booths and games, there's something for everyone to experience. Be sure to explore the festival area, where you can learn about arthritis resources, services, and treatments.
