Lyla Kay Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Youth Honoree At only a few months old, Lyla was in constant pain and unable to walk. Lyla took Ibuprofen and Prednisone, per doctor’s orders but nothing was easing her pain. Her parents were overwhelmingly concerned. On October 31, 2017, at 15 months old, Lyla was officially diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis. They are beyond grateful for her amazing doctors from Minnesota to Tennessee and the medication that enables Lyla to live pain-free. Lyla is now a second grader and is full of life. She enjoys aerial arts, riding her bike, roller skating, gymnastics, and many other activities.
