Kosmas Kayes, MD
OrthoIndy
Medical Honoree

Dr. Kayes received his medical degree from IU School of Medicine in Indianapolis and completed his residency in general surgery and orthopedic surgery at IU Medical School. He then completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis and an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the University of Kentucky. He was assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Riley for nine years before he moved to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital for another nine years. He now practices at OrthoIndy. Dr. Kayes is honored to be nominated as Medical Honoree and looks forward to raising funds for the mission!

Brian Shera
Rheumatoid and Psoriatic Arthritis
Adult Honoree

Brian was diagnosed with both rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis at the age of 30. He is also a pharmaceutical salesman who sells biologic medications to treat these and other autoimmune diseases.

Married to his high school sweetheart for 36 years, he has two children who are both married and is the proud grandfather of two grandchildren.

Along with his passion for making affordable medications available for people, he loves playing golf and spending time with his family and this is his first time working with this event.

Lou Cox
Juvenile Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Lou Cox is 16 years old and has had arthritis for 2 years. Although arthritis has slowed her down, she can still do things she loves like baking, taking photos, and running around with her friends. Lou is very grateful for this opportunity to be the Jingle Bell Run Youth Honoree. She feels so special even though she knows she is only one of the 300,000 kids in the U.S. with juvenile arthritis. She is also grateful for every donation, of any size, that brings us closer to a cure!

Support Lou and her team, Samantha "Lou Who" Crew.
