Danielle Woolley
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

Danielle was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2013, at the age of 31, after years of unexplained pain, fatigue, brain fog and loss of mobility in her hands and joints. In 2021 after worsening and new symptoms she was also diagnosed with Sjogren’s Disease. She works with her health professionals to find medications, supplements, and daily routine changes that help her feel good. She is optimistic that through monitoring her symptoms, knowing limitations, and being ok with asking for help she will continue to improve. She is honored to help raise awareness and funds for better treatments and a cure.

Olivia Judicke
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Teen Honoree

Olivia was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis at the age of 14, after experiencing symptoms for nearly 4 years prior. Initially, it was difficult to find medications that effectively managed her pain, but after a year of different trials, she found the right medication! Although navigating the disease can be challenging, Olivia strives to push her boundaries! As a junior in high school, she seeks to overcome arthritis and not let it prevent her from doing anything, from fencing to playing the flute. Olivia is honored and so excited for this opportunity to raise awareness for such an important cause.

Natalie Rizzo
Polyarticular Juvenile Arthritis
Youth Honoree

At the age of 4, Natalie was diagnosed with polyarticular juvenile arthritis. Most of her joints were affected including all her fingers, toes, neck, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles. Based on the erosion in some of her joints, doctors assumed that she has been battling juvenile idiopathic arthritis for a couple of years prior to her diagnosis.

Now at age 6, she is doing great! She takes oral medicine weekly and injections bi-weekly. She also does physical and occupational therapy. Natalie is a tough cookie and her entire family is so proud! She hopes to be in remission from juvenile idiopathic arthritis very soon!

Pia
Osteoarthritis
Dog Honoree

Pia is an 8-year old Shih Tzu. Since being a puppy, Pia has lived with hip dysplasia, causing osteoarthritis (OA) in her left hind leg. Pia manages to live a happy life through exercise and harm reduction: she loves to go on short walks, high energy play time, and doesn’t like the stairs. Pia takes life at her own pace, filling the still moments at home with the joy of her quiet company.

Join Pia and her family at Jingle Bell Run and donate to fight against arthritis (human and canine!) - she’d love to catch you at the finish line.
