 Michael joined Shepherd Elder Law in 2017 as the Community Liaison Director and is the representative for the firm’s presence in the Senior Care community in Johnson County Kansas and the Kansas City Metro area.
Vicki is the Provider Relations Liaison with Lakeview Village. She helps with a variety of tasks including marketing and transitioning patients to short-term stay rehabilitation. It was Vicki’s rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis six years ago that brought them to the Arthritis Foundation as volunteers and sponsors. Since then, Michael and Vicki have played a vital role in supporting the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to raise funds for research, resources, and a cure. |
In 2018 Melissa's life changed in so many ways! She met an amazing man and shortly after they started dating all of the difficult diagnosis began to come. Psoriatic arthritis, as well as a few others. Over the years Melissa was told by many of my family and friends - “You got this”, “You are stronger than what you think you are” and over the last 5 years - her strength has grown physically and mentally. And she lives each day by this quote “Live Each Day A Little Stronger”
