Gail Wright
Ankylosing Spondylitis
Adult Honoree

Gail’s diagnosis was atypical for those that have ankylosing spondylitis. She thought her hip pain was due to running a half marathon and two 5k’s but after spending 3 months in physical therapy, Gail decided she was done and just had to deal with it. However, one morning she woke up with what she now knows was costochondritis, a medical term for inflammation of the cartilage that joins your ribs to your breastbone. After being stuck in a chair with extreme pain for 2 weeks she called her cousin, a rheumatologist who referred her to Dr. Erin Arnold who immediately diagnosed Gail

Gail is currently doing amazing and enjoys giving back to others.

Macy Haworth
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Teen Honoree

It took a few years for Macy to be diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis. The journey has definitely not been fun or easy and she still does not have a specific diagnosis.

She has been on Humira for about a year and a half now. It has helped her get up and out more and feel more like herself.

She loves going to amusement parks with friends!
