Event Information

Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event that unites communities across the country to put an end to arthritis. We aren't just helping the millions of people with arthritis to live better; we're charting the course to a cure.

Parking is free. Go directly to our registration booth in the ticket plaza to receive your zoo ticket.

Event Schedule

Sunday, September 24, 2023

Online registration will close Friday, September 22 at 12:00 p.m. Online event day registration will open September 24 at 6:00a.m. 

  • 7:00 a.m. - Event check-in and information at the ticket plaza
  • 8:00 a.m. - Opening remarks
  • 8:15 a.m. - Start "Rockin' the Walk"
  • 8:30 - 11:00 a.m. - Palava Hut activities including: vendors, music, kids' activities, and team photos
    • 8:45 - 10:45 a.m. - Superheroes
    • 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Face painting
    • 10:30 a.m. - Basket raffle drawing
  • 11:00 a.m. - Walk to Cure Arthritis ends - Keep Fighting for a Cure!
  • 5:00 p.m. - Zoo closes

  • We know you love your dog, but the zoo does not allow pets
  • This event is cashless. Only credit cards will be accepted for day of donations and on- site raffles.
  • The Arthritis Foundation will only be accepting credit cards for donations and raffle purchases on the day of the walk. If you or anyone on your team has collected cash donations, please convert that to a money order or cashier's check and mail it to the Arthritis Foundation. Please do not bring cash or checks to the zoo.
