Carlie Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Youth Honoree Her journey started with a rash, and the inability to walk without limping. Progressively for the next month Carlieās health declined, a month straight of fevers and the worst form of lethargy the family had ever seen. A month into constant sickness Dr. Sheraton and his team at School House Pediatrics figured out the problem, "we think she might have Arthritis". The family rushed for blood work that same night and within a week Carlie was diagnosed with systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis. The first few months Carlie had a couple stays in the hospital after acquiring MAS. Finally finding a treatment months later that started to work. A year and a half later and Carlie is a thriving little girl. To support or join Carlie, please visit her team's fundraising page "Carlie's Courage" today. |
