Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event that unites communities across the country to put an end to arthritis. We aren't just helping the millions of people with arthritis to live better; we're charting the course to a cure.
Inclement Weather
Unfortunately, mother nature doesn’t always cooperate. In the event of inclement weather, we will post any cancellations or postponements on our Walk to Cure Arthritis Facebook Group. We will also make every effort to call all volunteers. Please DO NOT check the website, as we don’t have the ability to update that in a timely fashion.

Event will be located in the Bob Hope Pavilion area – look for a small brick round building with a playground near it. Signs will be placed along the driveway to the pavilion to direct you to the right area.
Parking is available for FREE. There is a parking lot next to the Pavilion area, which should provide ample parking for participants. Overflow parking can be found in the parking lot to the south.
Event Schedule
Saturday, May 20, 2023
Online registration for the event will close at 10:00 a.m. on May 20, 2023. All participants, including children, must be registered to participate in the Walk or any activities associated with it. Day of registration and check-in will open the morning of the Walk at 9:00 a.m.;
If you must turn in money the morning of the Walk, please convert any cash donations into a check or money order for the safety and security of all those involved. Raise $100 or more to receive a Walk to Cure Arthritis t-shirt. Other prizes available at higher fundraising levels. Remember, all donations to the Arthritis Foundation are 100% tax-deductible!
8:00 a.m. - Volunteer check-in
9:00 a.m. - Pre-Walk Festivities
9:45 a.m. - Opening Remarks
10:00 a.m. - Walk Begins (1 or 3-mile option)
11:30 a.m. - Awards Presentation
12:00 p.m. - Walk Concludes
Event Day Festivities
Dogs are welcome at this event! Please make sure that dogs are always leashed and you provide sanitary bags as you take your dogs on the walking trail. We will also provide a Dog Zone area that will have treats and water bowls, so that your furry friends can stay hydrated and replenished!
This year’s Walk will feature complimentary snacks and water, along with playground access for kids.
JA Activity – Cupcakes and Connections
Join us at 9:00 a.m. for a fun cupcake decorating activity for the kids, provided by Pinkitzel, while you meet and connect with other parents.
StretchLab
The trainers from Edmond StretchLab will be on site to demonstrate safe and effective stretching techniques.
SetPoint Medical
SetPoint Medical will be on site to discuss the rheumatoid arthritis study they are conducting in Oklahoma City. Find out if you might be a candidate for new treatments for rheumatoid arthritis.
Warrior Banner
New to the Walk this year, we are providing a “Warrior Wall” (located at our Warrior/Mission Tent) for participants to post notes, photos, and/or write names of those you are walking in honor of. Let’s make sure to recognize the arthritis warriors in our lives, so don’t forget to stop by the tent and contribute to the Warrior Wall!
