2023 Walk to Cure Arthritis Honorees

Courtney Hyde
Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis
 Adult Honoree

Courtney was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 7. The beginning was rough for her, where some mornings it was painful to get out of bed due to inflammation and stiffness, and she had to overcome obstacles and setbacks due to the disease. However, with the dedication of John Hopkins doctors, she was able to manage her arthritis and has mostly been in remission for over 10 years. Today, she finds going to the gym helpful even if it’s just walking on the treadmill. She has volunteered with the Arthritis Foundation since 2020 and believes in advancing its mission.
