Landyn
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

Youth Honoree

Landyn was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at the age of 9. It started with a swollen toe, limping and discomfort. Doctors didn’t know what was wrong even after x-rays and MRI’s.

A few weeks later, he developed eye pain and sensitivity to light. The eye specialist diagnosed him with Uveitis. Bloodwork revealed Landyn also had an autoimmune disorder. They were referred to a rheumatologist where Landyn was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis. The families heart dropped as they didn’t even know kids could get arthritis.

Landyn’s passion is baseball. He’s been playing with Delaney Park Little League since he was 5 years old. And with the help of his doctor, Landyn is now in medicated remission and is doing well.
