2022 Walk to Cure Arthritis Honorees

Alexander Leppo
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Alex is one of the happiest and strongest 7 year-olds you will ever meet. He loves racing his go-kart and even won two championships last year! When Alex was 3 years old, he started complaining of pain in his knees. He was seen by a rheumatologist and diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis, the same disease his mom had. Alex went through many different medications. Currently, a combination of oral medications and injections seem to give him the most relief. When asked about his arthritis, Alex exclaims, "I don't like that I have arthritis, but it sure does make me a special kid!"

Alex is very lucky to have his family, friends, doctors, teachers, and therapists all fighting to make sure he is able to live a normal and pain-free life!

Join or support Alex and his team, Team Rocket, on his personal fundraising page.
