2021 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

 

Neil T. Dion, MD
Concord Orthopaedics
Medical Honoree


Dr. Dion is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in adult reconstruction (knee and hip replacement). He practices at Concord Orthopaedics in Concord, NH and has been with the group for over 6 years. He is a native Rhode Islander who trained at Northwestern University and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Dion’s practice includes direct anterior hip replacement, partial knee replacement, and robotic-assisted surgery. He is an active participant in humanitarian missions with Operation Walk Chicago performing free joint replacements in developing countries. Dr. Dion will be running the Jingle Bell 5k with his wife and four children. 

 

Ella Souza
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Teen Honoree


Ella was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis at age 7. At 14, she competes at the highest levels in ice hockey and lacrosse. As a 7th grader, Ella made the high school girls varsity ice hockey and lacrosse teams at Berwick Academy. This past spring, her Assabet Valley girls’ hockey team captured the program’s 53rd USA Youth Hockey National Championship in Denver, CO. In lacrosse, Ella plays for the NH Tomahawks club program and is a three-time NH state champion with her Seacoast team. She also plays goalie on the Berwick middle school field hockey team. Ella is passionate about sports and honored to be the Youth Honoree for this year's Jingle Bell Run New Hampshire. Support Ella and her team, Team Souza on her teaml fundraising page.
