Dr. Velthouse (a.k.a. Dr. *Z*) is currently the Community Health Professional Program Project Director at Valley Health Systems, Inc. She was raised by two physicians on the outskirts of Manhattan and received her BA from Stanford University, her MPH from Columbia University, her MBA from UMass at Amherst, and her MD from Caribbean Medical University after four years at Howard University.

When she’s not working toward healthcare equity and promoting public health, Dr. Velthouse enjoys reading, dancing, playing piano, video games and chess, and cooking with her husband. Support Dr. Velthouse on her personal fundraising page.
