Isabelle Moore
Child Honoree

This is Isabelle—we call her Izzy. Just after turning 3 years old, Izzy began complaining of her legs hurting every morning and wanting to be carried. She had to be carried everywhere and couldn’t bear weight on her legs for at least an hour after waking up. She would cry and cry. It was horrible, and suddenly it was their daily norm. After lots of blood work, X-rays and ultrasounds she was diagnosed with Oligoarthritis, a form of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), in both knees and one ankle. Izzy immediately began oral medications and had steroid injections in all three joints in early December 2019.

View a heartwarming message from Izzy and her mom. We are so proud of our young warriors!

Lizzy Kramer
Dog Honoree

TLizzy Kramer is a 10 yr. old Golden Retriever Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has been greatly loved by us and our four children as they have grown up. Lizzy also helped us raise three Pause with a Cause Service Dogs from 8 weeks old until they were 1-1.5 years old.

Lizzy has suffered for many years with arthritis in her back elbow. She used to be a runner dog in her early years but now enjoys walks in the neighborhood and on the beaches of Lake Michigan. She's a bit slower to get up in the mornings now, but an empty tummy will always win! She regularly takes her glucosamine and occasionally an anti-inflammatory when she's over done her play time with our 4-year-old Labrador Retriever, Dory.

Her favorite food is popcorn but has been seen eating tomatoes out of the garden! She loves a good snuggle and is the kindest golden ever!!
