Allison Obermayer
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

Allison Obermayer is a familiar face to many in the Northeast Ohio arthritis community through her profession as the medical secretary to orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Steven Fitzgerald. Allison has also been a longtime co-captain of Dr. Fitzgerald’s Walk to Cure Arthritis team. What most do not know, though, is that Allison has personally been battling rheumatoid arthritis for thirteen years. Click through to read more about Allison’s arthritis journey here.

Grace Gregg
Juvenile Psoriatic Arthritis
Teen Honoree

15-year-old Grace Gregg was diagnosed with juvenile psoriatic arthritis (JPsA) when she was just 2 years old. Grace has not let her arthritis stop her from pursuing the things she loves. She has been playing the flute in her Brunswick, Ohio High School marching band which recently took her to London. “Sometimes it can be hard given that playing the flute and marching in a competitive band involves all the joints that bother me, I do my best to stay positive and use my love for these things as motivation.”

Recently, Grace became a Junior Ambassador for the Arthritis Foundation and looks forward to continuing to spread awareness for arthritis, especially in kids like herself. To join or donate to Grace’s team, click here.
