Dr. Jonathan Kushi

Dr. Jonathan Kushi grew up in the Los Angeles area where he attended medical school at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Upon graduating, he and his wife, pediatric dermatologist Dr. Yvonne Chiu, left California for Milwaukee, where they both completed their residency and fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Kushi then joined the Rheumatic Disease Center in Glendale in 2012, where he is now a managing partner of the practice.

Dr. Kushi was drawn to rheumatology early in medical school. He has a particular interest in rheumatoid arthritis notably the utilization of ultrasound imaging and the development of novel advanced therapies. He has been involved in clinical research studies including several phase 3 trials. He has enjoyed participating in the Jingle Bell Run events over the years and greatly values the close relationships that come from treating patients with lifelong autoimmune conditions.
