2020 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

 

John (Sean) J. O'connor MD
Medical Honoree

Dr. John (Sean) J. O’Connor is an orthopaedic surgeon at Concord Orthopaedics. Dr. O’Connor earned his AB from Holy Cross and his MD from Harvard Medical School, then completed his Orthopaedic Residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program and his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Children’s Hospital.

Dr. O’Connor’s clinical interests include ACL injury prevention, Arthroscopy, and Knee and Shoulder Replacement.

Dr. O’Connor is a volunteer Varsity Assistant Coach for the St Paul’s Field Hockey and Girls Lacrosse teams. He is an avid cyclist and backcountry skier. Dr. O’Connor serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club.

Mary Nagel
Adult Honoree

Mary Nagel, a nurse practitioner has been advocating for the Arthritis Foundation (AF) since 1984. She volunteered for AF while working towards her master’s degree in Nursing, served on the local leadership board of AF in Buffalo, NY (1986-1989) & NH (1992-1999), and continues to be a very active volunteer and supporter!

Mary was awarded Arthritis Foundation’s, “Volunteer of the Year” in 1994 and is the true definition of a loyal volunteer, fundraiser and event participant: Jingle Bell Run Concord for about 25 years and Walk to Cure Arthritis for the past 3 years.
