Can I bring food for my team?
The Intrepid prohibits all outside food inside their property. Please do not bring coffee, snacks or food for your team. Coffee and a light breakfast is provided by the Arthritis Foundation.

Are dogs allowed at The Intrepid?
Pets are not allowed at The Intrepid Museum. Those who rely on service dogs may bring them, provided the dog remains properly leashed. Service dogs must be at least 12 months old.

Are strollers allowed?
Yes, strollers allowed on the walk route.

How long is the route? Is this wheelchair accessible?
The route is a 1 mile loop outdoors on the beautiful Pier 86 at The Intrpid Museum. The entire event (including restrooms) are wheelchair and walker accessible.

How much money should I raise?
Walk To Cure Arthritis participants raise an average of $150 each. Make an impact by raising more and challenging others.

What is the deadline for mailing donations?
Donations can be received up to 8 weeks after the event to meet the fundraising deadline.

What if my donors need a receipt?
Everyone who makes an online donation will receive an e-mail confirmation receipt for tax purposes.
For donations less than $250, the IRS will accept the following as proof of a charitable donation: a canceled check, bank or credit union statement, or a credit card statement.

What if a donor wrote a check out to the team or my name?
If you receive a check payable to your team, just write "Arthritis Foundation" above your team name. If it's made out to you, please endorse the check payable to the Arthritis Foundation. Please be sure to write the participant's name, event, and event year on the memo line of each check (e.g., "Marcelo Ramos, NYC Walk To Cure Arthritis).

Why doesn’t the fundraising total in my Fundraising Page match what I turned in?
All online donations will appear on your page immediately. Due to volume during peak event times, it may take additional weeks to process check or cash donations. If it has been over 4 weeks since submitting your donations to the Arthritis Foundation, please contact Antonio Quey-Lin at [email protected].
