Bill has over thirty-six years of diverse experience in construction ranging from laborer, carpenter foreman, general superintendent, project manager, estimator and president. After starting Tradesmithe, Inc. in 2001, Bill began to build a team of construction professionals that maintain and service over nine hundred retail locations.

Bill has been married to Kristen for twenty- five years and they have one twenty-one-year-old daughter, Katelyn. Bill enjoys cycling, all genres of music, and the outdoors.

Brian Steffin, MD, is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Adult Joint Reconstruction. Dr. Steffin’s practice has been focused on alleviating pain for patients who suffer from joint pain or injury.

Dr. Steffin’s years of experience performing joint replacements have proven to be very successful at helping patients maintain and return to desired activities. He strives to keep himself up to date with the most current technology and techniques in this evolving field. He also feels this helps provide the best possible and most long-lasting solutions for each individual patient.

Dr. Steffin is married and has 3 children. He enjoys keeping up with his family’s activities and loves to travel when able.

Mackenzie Wilkens
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Mackenzie Wilkens of Oakfield was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) at age 3 after experiencing severe swelling in both knees, inability to walk, stiffness, and joints warm to the touch. At age 7, Mackenzie was also diagnosed with uveitis, an inflammation of the eyes. Her current treatment plan of weekly injections and once a month infusions is keeping both the JIA and uveitis under control.

Mackenzie and her family have been involved with the Arthritis Foundation of Wisconsin for years participating in Walk to Cure Arthritis, Jingle Bell Run, Juvenile Arthritis Mini Camp at Camp M.A.S.H. and Wisconsin Juvenile Arthritis Family Day - all of which have provided them with medical tips, resources and connections to other families who can relate to their journey.

Hannah Jenkins
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Young Adult Honoree

Hannah was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 15. As a competitive figure skater and active teen, she faced this new challenge with a lot of uncertainty about what it would mean for her sport and her life. The past few years have included many trips to Children’s Hospital for doctor appointments, cortisone shots, fluid removal and, most recently, a wrist surgery. Through it all, Hannah has continued skating and progressing in her sport and while her life is different, she’s on a medication that is working well for her and is looking forward to heading off to college next year. Hannah credits her awesome Rheumatologist and Orthopedic Surgeon for their help, support and hopefulness as she navigates this new chapter of her life.
