Emma Hojnoski Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Teen Honoree
Emma Hojnoski is sixteen years old and is from Branchburg, NJ. Emma suffered from symptoms for several years but was only officially diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis when she was 10. She had severe inflammation and joint damage in both her neck and ankle. Finally, she was able to get relief and her mobility back. Emma gives herself weekly injections and is now able to enjoy life! She loves figure skating and participates in competitions. She also enjoys spending time with her dog as well as her family and friends. She does not let her arthritis hold her back.
Hannah Reinhart is a bubbly, bright and hilarious child living with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. After several months of a painful and enlarged knee, multiple doctors’ appointments, X-Rays, bloodwork, and an MRI, we received the diagnosis. Thankfully, our one injection in the knee seems to have done the trick! While we still follow-up often with rheumatology (keeping an eye on one wonky arthritic toe), ophthalmology, and occasional blood work, Hannah is thriving! We are so thankful to the support from the Arthritis Foundation, and to be a part of the Jingle Bell Run!
