Matt Wohlfarth
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

Meet Matt Wohlfarth – salesperson for ADP by day and comedian by night. Matt has been a comedian for 32 years but had to come off the club circuit when his joints started freezing up between shows. He was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis over 20 years ago. His mantra is "Find a way to win the day." Some days this might be just buttoning his left sleeve with his right hand. “RA is a lifelong boxing match. You win some rounds, and the disease wins some rounds.” Matt is excited to raise money for this great cause through comedy shows to help people live their best lives because it isn't just he who struggles with the disease; his daughter Jessica does, too, but “together, we can do this.”

Aaliyah McGinnis
Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis
Young Adult Honoree

Aaliyah McGinnis was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in March of 2009 at the age of five. She spent much of her childhood at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh— for physical therapy, bloodwork, and monthly checkups. It was difficult being so young and confused about why she couldn’t do what other kids could do. Aaliyah lives in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and is a senior at Blackhawk High School. Her activities include cheer, National Honors Society, and Tri-M Music Honors Society. She is the editor for the key club and works at a retirement home as a server. She was accepted into Saint Francis University to pursue her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree.
