“We know that our patients who get involved with the Arthritis Foundation do better. The Arthritis Foundation offers our patients and families valuable resources to help them along their journey and provides many opportunities to connect with other families who are just like them”.
--Rob Fuhlbrigge, CARRA Past President
CARRA is excited to be participating again in Walk to Cure Arthritis in support of our partner, the Arthritis Foundation. CARRA and the Arthritis Foundation have collaborated for two decades to bring cutting edge research to rare childhood rheumatic diseases. The partnership focuses on the power of professional and patient networks to solve the most pressing problems faced by families. This collaboration builds research that gives a voice in the development of treatments, and programs offered in communities and at the national level. The Arthritis Foundation partnership supports the CARRA Registry, provides important research grants to our community, facilitates our patient engagement programs and enabled expansion of our research efforts in all pediatric rheumatic diseases. We are grateful for their partnership and generous financial support. By supporting Team CARRA, you can help us give back to them

The Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) is a research network of pediatric rheumatology health and research professionals who have joined together to conduct research to answer critical questions about pediatric rheumatic diseases such as arthritis, lupus, and dermatomyositis. Our mission is to conduct collaborative research to prevent, treat and cure pediatric rheumatic diseases.
We have created a network of pediatric rheumatology research centers across (primarily) North America that work together on research studies like the CARRA Registry, a long-term observational study which seeks to enroll more than 11,000 patients and follow them for at least 10 years. We are grateful for the Arthritis Foundation’s generous financial support which not only continues to make the Registry possible, but has been instrumental in our ability to provide important research grants to our pediatric rheumatology investigators.
When we work together, we increase the number of children who participate in studies and reduce the amount of time it takes to reach valuable conclusions which will advance the health and quality of life of children living with arthritis and rheumatic diseases.
