Join our team and help conquer arthritis!

Corinthia started showing symptoms in 1993 at age 6, within 3 months she was using a wheelchair and was diagnosed with severe Idiopathic Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. At that time steroids and NSAIDs were the only option until methotrexate became available at age 8.  The Arthritis Foundation and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics were pivotal in the treatment and development of new medications for her to try, including Enbrel which would eventually help get her out of the wheelchair at age 14.

At 36, she is now on a great treatment plan with a wonderful team of doctors. Having just had her first joint replacement, she is preparing for another hip surgery this winter after getting married in November!  She enjoys volunteering at her church coffee bar, works part time at a local cafe, and spends weekends with her devoted fiance and their pets.
