20243 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

Ian
Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Ian is a vibrant and fun loving 4-year-old boy who, unless we told you, you would almost have no idea that he is constantly battling a chronic illness. Ian was diagnosed at 19 months old with a rare form of childhood arthritis, systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (SJIA). This type of autoinflammatory disease causes widespread inflammation in his body. Not only in his joints, but his internal organs as well.

He is currently on a regimen of twice daily injections and pain medicine, and he is inching his way closer and closer to medicated remission! We are so blessed to have a team of doctors and family surrounding him with support.
