 Holly has spent the past 22 years working primarily in healthcare working in a variety of roles including marketing, sales, physician relations, community outreach and fundraising.
In her free time, she spends time with her family, reading, traveling, and watching live music but mostly running kids to practices and games. She has a daughter Audra and a son, Noah, a partner Joe, and a fur baby named Ella.
She is honored to serve as the Corporate Chair for the Walk to Cure Arthritis Iowa and to help raise awareness for those that live with Arthritis.

Joyce Brown, RN has been working with Rheumatology patients for over 40 years. She started her education at the University of Iowa but was unable to complete her nursing degree initially because of health issues. In 1980, Joyce began her time working with Dr. Theodore Rooney at COMS, now the Des Moines University, as Medical Assistant. Dr Rooney and Joyce began caring for large numbers of rheumatology patients and a dream was born to start a clinic. Joyce returned to nursing school and officially joined Dr Rooney on July 11, 1987, as an RN.
Olivia started showing symptoms in December 2016 and was diagnosed in January of 2017 at the age of 9. The diagnosis was quick once her knee was drained. Today at the age of 16, she has a few flareups, and any activity involving her knees is more difficult. She enjoys volunteering at her church and devotes some days to self-care. Her hope for the future is to become pediatric rheumatologist. This goal stems from her involvement with the Arthritis Foundation and her desire to help others with arthritis. She is happy to be an honoree and to show others that Kids Get Arthritis Too!
Corinthia started showing symptoms at age 6, within 3 months she was using a wheelchair and was diagnosed with severe idiopathic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. At that time steroids and NSAIDs were the only option until methotrexate became available at age 8. The Arthritis Foundation and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics were pivotal in the treatment and development of new medications for her to try, including Enbrel which would eventually help get her out of the wheelchair at age 14.
