2025 Walk to Cure Arthritis Honorees

Kylee Kelly
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Young Adult Honoree

Kylee first experienced juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) symptoms at 11 years old and like most kids with JIA, has endured endless doctors’ visits, tests, and treatments. However, she has not let it stop her from being involved in many activities including cheerleading, 4-H Club, and the student representative for her local school board.

Kylee’s biggest passion is horses and horseback riding. She works and trains at the TaKE Center, which is a therapeutic riding program, and recently competed in a horse show at Thorncroft Equestrian Stables which earned her another trip to the Devon Horse Show. At Devon, she won the Grand Champion Class for the second year in a row as well as the Hope Montgomery Scott Trophy.

“Riding is more than just a fun activity; it also helps me to manage my arthritis.” says Kylee.  “Staying active helps me to manage both the physical pain and the mental health aspect of living with this condition. When I’m at the barn, it not only makes me feel good, but it makes me feel like arthritis isn’t going to stop me from doing what I enjoy.”
