Erica Diaz
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

At 15, Erica began experiencing symptoms that were first written off as simple growing pains, but quickly evolved into severe pain and inflammation, and a rheumatoid arthritis (RA) diagnosis. With limited treatment options, Erica had to adjust to her new diagnosis and educate others about her condition.

Erica has received incredible support from her family over the years as she has navigated joint replacements, flares and medication changes; while living a full life.

She is a passionate advocate for the Arthritis Foundation, fundraising, volunteering and raising awareness. "As this year’s adult honoree, I’m proud to walk alongside others to help find a cure!" Erica says.
