Juni was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis in September 2017, three months before her second birthday. She's affected in both ankles, her left knee, and her pointer finger on the right hand. After ten months of medication, physical therapy, and orthotics, we are confident in saying she's a JA Warrior!
Arthritis can affect anyone of any age. It comes on when least expected, and it takes longer than desired to diagnose. To us, arthritis is watching our two-year-old struggle to walk, run, jump, and climb stairs--activities her friends at school are doing around her. Despite the pain and the delays, Juniper remains our little spitfire. With the support of her physical therapist and sheer determination, Juni is finally able to stand on her tippy toes without pain!
Please join me in supporting the Arthritis Foundation, an organization whose mission is to find a cure! Thank you!
