Almost 3 years ago my journey with arthritis became personal. After a year of pain that never got better and many conversations with my doctor I was finally able to get an answer... Osteoarthritis. For the next 18months I would spend trying to figure out all that I could do and what needed to be done immediately.  With surgery as a must do, I prepared myself and finally determined that it couldn't be put off anymore.  My inability to walk correctly or without pain was something I could no longer handle. Joint fusion surgery in my foot and ankle as well as calf lengthening surgery has given me my ability to walk again.  The arthritis will always be there- and two beautiful screws as well, but my inability to move without chronic pain will not.  I am one of nearly 500 million people in the United States who suffers from Osteoarthritis.  I am also one of millions who suffers from spinal arthritis.  

Because arthritis has become personal for me, it's much easier to say why I believe supporting the Arthritis Foundation is key.  Research, advocacy and support are hallmarks of the foundation and this is why I'm asking you to Walk, Donate, and Support my team and the Arthritis Foundation of Indiana!
