Please help me conquer arthritis!

Hi! I’ve been named a “Teen Honoree” for the Arthritis Foundation’s Walk to Cure Arthritis this coming May. I was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis when I was in 2nd grade. I can remember the struggles along the way -- using crutches at the very beginning, having many blood tests and doctor visits, and not initially understanding any of this. I remember not wanting to have to explain arthritis to my middle school gym teacher.

Thanks to access to good doctors and medicine, I am a success story. I’ve been able to stay active, and I’m so thankful for that. This is not necessarily the case for the 300,000 youth living with arthritis. Continued research, education, and support are needed to enable positive outcomes. I am passionate about this cause and appreciate your support!

I've been impressed with the Arthritis Foundation's work in advocacy and support through camps for youth with arthritis. During my junior year in high school, I traveled to Capitol Hill as a Junior Ambassador. I advocated for Step Therapy reform, so patients like me don't have to "fail first" with medicines that don't work.

I hope you can join me in this fight for a cure!  Any donation amount is greatly appreciated. TIA!
