💚 Makaylah has Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis 💜
💜 She is honored and excited to be Louisiana's 2022 Walk To Cure Arthritis Youth Honoree!💚
Makaylah is 5 years old. She was diagnosed with Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis in 2019. She enjoys being a Kindergartener, dancing, singing, and playing with her brother. She loves unicorns and anything pink or purple. JIA does not stop her from achieving her goals. She is a strong, brave girl that lights up any room with her beautiful smile and personality. She does not let JIA stand in the way of being a kid.
These last few years since 2019 have been filled with specialist appointments, medicines, quarantine, shots, eye drops and bloodwork. There has been lots of sad and happy tears from all of us. JIA is a wild ride full of ups and downs. We are incredibly lucky that Makaylah has amazing pediatricians. She also has an amazing rheumatologist and ophthalmologist at Children's Hospital! We are so thankful for the work that they do to keep our girl healthy!
Makaylah is the strongest and bravest little girl there is! We are learning so much from her each day and I can only wish to be as strong as her. I'm pretty sure she is unstoppable and she will change the world!
💜Makaylah is currently in Medicated Remission!💚 We are so grateful that the combination of shots and medications are working for her! She is living her best life!
