Hannah
Juvenile Arthritis
Adult Honoree

Hannah was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis (JA) twenty years ago, at age 6. She had difficulty writing and needed a wheelchair. Currently, Hannah receives an infusion every 8 weeks and takes 10 pills every week.

Growing up, she found a passion for swimming, which helped her get through being a teenager with arthritis, and Hannah still teaches swim lessons today. While attending The University of Arkansas she joined the Sorority Alpha Omicron Pi, whose philanthropy is the Arthritis Foundation, and this sisterhood was a huge support system.

Hannah currently works in the medical field. She’s grateful for the doctors that have cared for her and to the Arthritis Foundation for providing a positive outlet. She is honored to be the Adult Honoree!

Mila
Juvenile Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Just after her 2nd birthday, Mila stopped walking. After a visit to the pediatrician and ER, fluid was discovered on her left knee and she had it drained. Over the next month it spread to 10 joints and she was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. Currently, the inflammation is under control and she has been in medicated remission for just over a year!

Mila loves dolls, art, dance, gymnastics, and Paw Patrol & Daniel Tiger. Mila’s family is honored that she is this year's Youth Honoree! Her mom says, “Our family participates in the Jingle Bell Run to help raise funds for research and patient support, as well as awareness that kids get arthritis, too!”

Raleigh Roo
"Tripawd"
Dog Honoree

Raleigh Roo is a 4-year-old rescued Pittie mix, who has overcome so much. He suffered neglect as a puppy leading to a limb amputation and an invasive osteo-corrective surgery on his remaining hind leg last year. These injuries ultimately led to him developing arthritis before age 3.

He is a true tripawd hero living every day with adventures of walks at the park, exploring the beach & going to Dog Bar! He runs faster than 25 mph and takes Squirrel Patrol very seriously. He’s training as a scent detection service dog & soon plans to work as a therapy dog. Roo is the happiest ambassador for rescued, bully breed & special needs pets, and reminds us each day of perseverance and truly living every day to the fullest!
