The Arthritis Foundation’s original Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get decked out and be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability.

5K Untimed – Includes shirt and jingle bells.

Registration fees and donations cannot be refunded. Your fundraising dollars are put to work immediately and enable the Arthritis Foundation to continue critical programs and services in our community.

Event Day Details

Pre and post-race activities are conducted indoors. There is also a kid’s fun-run that will be held outside, prior to the other races. The start/finish line is the same for all runners/walkers.

  • Parking Information - Public Parking is conveniently located one block north of the Museum at Clark and LaSalle Streets. Enter on Stockton Drive: 1730 N Stockton Dr. If the sign says “Lot Full” ring the intercom and let the staff person know that you are attending an event at Chicago History Museum. Parking in the public parking area will be $10 with Museum Validation. Please remember to take your parking ticket with you into the Museum. You can validate your parking at the front desk of the Museum. Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards are accepted. Specially located spots are reserved for persons using mobility devices.
  • Course Information + Map 
  • Pets are not permitted at the Chicago History Museum
  • Strollers Welcome 
  • Costumes are encouraged! Costume contest prizes are given to team and individual winners.
  • Finisher Medals: All participants will receive a finisher medal upon completion of the Jingle Bell Run 5K and 1 Mile.
  • Award Categories & Top Finisher Information: The top three male and female winners overall will receive an award, along with the top three male and female winners in the following age categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+

Activities

Make sure to partake in all of the fun activities pre-and post-race (all of which are indoors!):

  • Get a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
  • Enjoy food and beverages post race.
  • Kids activities including creating an ornament, write a letter to Santa, and holiday coloring sheets.
  • Arthritis Warriors can pick up a colorful lei to demonstrate how many people are impacted by the disease.
  • If you are dressing in costume, be sure to participate in our costume contest.
