Dr. Thiara is a board certified Rheumatologist with Sutter Medical Group. She completed her fellowship in rheumatology at UC Davis Medical Center and has been with SMG practicing in the downtown Sacramento location since 2018.

She serves patients spanning from the San Joaquin Valley to north of Sacramento.

Kent P. Sheridan, M.D.

Dr. Sheridan is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with Sutter Medical Group with subspecialty training in sports medicine and joint replacement surgery.  He treats patients from throughout the Sacramento and San Joaquin valley with a special interest in improving the pain and dysfunction associated with arthritis of the shoulder, hip and knee.    

He also has some local ties -- Dr. Sheridan grew up in Grass Valley, played football at UC Davis, and completed his ortho residency at UC Davis.

Rod Wurst, RN

Rod Wurst is a surgical nurse working for Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento. He’s been a RN at Sutter for 42 years, is married to his wife Sharon for over 50 years and they have one son. After graduating from Folsom High School, Rod served in the United States Air Force as an Operating Room Tech for six years. After leaving the Air Force, he attended CSU Sacramento and graduated in 1982 with a BS in Nursing. Rod immediately started his career at Sutter as a staff nurse, then moved on to Telemetry as a Cardiac nurse, then to the ICU for eight years, and finally to the Operating Room as a nurse specializing in joint replacements for the past 32 years.
