The Arthritis Foundation’s original Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get decked out and be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability.

Event Schedule

Saturday, November 18, 2023

  • 8:30 am – 9:30 a.m. - Onsite Check-In and Registration (see early packet pickup information to avoid the line on event day)
  • 9:00 a.m. - Kids' Reindeer Dash (a fun, quick dash around the Kickers soccer field) All participants will receive a t-shirt and medal.
  • 9:00 a.m. - Festivities Begin!
    • DJ by Music Makes You Happy
    • Kids’ Activities, Visit from Santa
    • Photo Booth
    • Vendors and Sponsor Booths, Arthritis Foundation Information & Resources and more!
  • 9:45 a.m. - Opening Ceremony & Warm Up
  • 10:00 a.m. - 5K Race Begins (Runners will line up first, participants who wish to walk will line up behind the runners)
  • 11:00 a.m. - Awards Ceremony & Closing Remarks
    • Age Group Finisher Awards for 5K Timed
    • Most Festive Attire for Adult, Youth, Team and Pup
  • 11:30 a.m. - Thank You for Jingling With Us!

Any individual that raises $250 or more online by event day will receive a fun and festive pair of socks!

Register early for the best price! Register by October 19 to guarantee you will receive an official 2023 Jingle Bell Run long sleeve race shirt. 

5K Timed – Includes shirt and jingle bells.

$35 - Until Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. 
$40 - Sept. 1 to Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.
$45 - Nov. 1 to Nov. 17 at 11:59 p.m.
$50 - Nov. 18 (day of event)

5K Untimed – Includes shirt and jingle bells.

$30 - Until Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. 
$35 - Sept. 1 to Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.
$40 - Nov. 1 to Nov. 17 at 11:59 p.m.
$45 - Nov. 18 (day of event)

Kids Reindeer Dash – Reduced rate for ages 12 & under. Includes shirt and jingle bells. 

$25 - Until Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. 
$30 - Sept. 1 to Nov. 18 (day of event)

Virtual Jingler - Can’t attend the event, but still want to be part of the fun? Choose this option to receive a shirt and fundraise for a cure!

Registration fees and donations cannot be refunded. Your fundraising dollars are put to work immediately and enable the Arthritis Foundation to continue critical programs and services in our community.

Event Day Details

  • Location Details: City Stadium, 3201 Maplewood Ave, Richmond, VA 23321
  • Course Map: View course map here. Event is rain or shine!
  • Parking Information: Parking available in City Stadium parking lot
  • Festivities begin at 9 AM! Music by Music Makes You Happy, Visit with Santa, Photo Booth, Contests, Kids’ Activities, Kids’ Reindeer Dash, Hot Cocoa, and more!
  • Dogs Welcome: Bring your furry friends! Dogs are welcomed on the route. All dogs must be on a leash.
  • Strollers Welcome: Strollers are welcomed on the course but please remain behind all timed runners towards the back of the start line. 
  • Award Categories & Top Finisher Info: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place male and female medals in each age group: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+
    • All finishers will receive a commemorative 2023 Jingle Bell Run Finishers medal
