The Arthritis Foundation’s original Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get decked out and be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability.

Saturday, November 18, 2023

  • 8:00 a.m. - Registration & On-site Check-in Opens
  • 8:00 a.m. - Event Begins - Sponsor Tables, Education Stations, Santa Claus, Live Reindeer, Food, Live Music, Cookie Decorating, Raffles, Photo Booth and more.
  • 8:45 a.m. - Welcome Ceremony and Event Kick-off
  • 9:30 a.m. - Stretches Begin, followed by USATF Certified Timed 5K Race & Fun Run/Walk 
  • 10:30 a.m. - Kids Reindeer Dash Begins
  • 11:00 a.m. - Closing Ceremony & Awards
  • 12:00 p.m. - Event Finishes - All Tables Close and Stations Conclude

5K Timed USATF Certified – Includes shirt, race medal, timed race bib, registration bag, and jingle bells. Prizes for category race leaders.

$35 - Until Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. 
$40 - Sept. 1 to Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.
$45 - Nov. 1 to Nov. 15 at 11:59 p.m.
$50 - Nov. 18 (day of event)

5K Untimed/Kids Run – Includes shirt, medal, untimed race bib, registration bag, and jingle bells.

$40 - Nov. 1 to Nov. 15 11:59 p.m.
$45 - Nov. 18 (day of event)

Registration fees and donations cannot be refunded. Your fundraising dollars are put to work immediately and enable the Arthritis Foundation to continue critical programs and services in our community.

Packet Pickup

This is your chance to skip the check-in line and collect all your goodies before race day. There will be (6) six opportunities for pre-registration packet pick-up thanks to Athletico Physical Therapy:

At any location, visit the guest experience team at the front desk and let them know you are there for packet pickup. Simply provide the name of the participant(s) you would like to collect packets for, and you will receive each bag of holiday joy!

Event Day Details

  • Registration is required to enter venue - all all individuals attending must register for the event. Whether you are racing or just there for the fun, all ages, please register in advance.
  • Location Details: The festivities and race will take place on the enclosed M1 Concourse grounds. M1 Concourse sits at the northwest corner of Woodward Avenue and South Boulevard adjacent to Bloomfield Hills and is bounded by Woodward Avenue on the east and Franklin Road on the west. Major highways, including I-75 and M-59, have exits within a few miles of the property.
  • Parking: The main entrance is located off Woodward Avenue. Enter M1 Concourse through the public entrance on Woodward Avenue (across from Avon Donuts). Overflow parking is available from South Boulevard. All parking is free. Please see the attached map for venue entry locations and parking zones. The venue gates will open at 7am.
  • Rain, Snow or Shine: Most festivities will occur inside the event center-it will be warm and dry inside. The track for all runs/walks, and reindeer will be outdoors. Outdoor fun will take place in any elements Michigan throws at us, however, if we have snow, the track will be cleared before the race. Please dress accordingly.
  • Safety: Only our participants and M1 staff will have access to M1 Concourse for our event. M1 Concourse and the track is completely enclosed. We have a staffed medical tent for the event. M1 Concourse has restrooms for use to our participants and for hand-washing. Sanitizer will be readily available.
  • No pets allowed at venue 
  • Food & drinks will be provided. At minimum we have apples, bananas, granola bars, chips, coffee, hot cocoa, and bottled water. 
  • Medals & Prizes: 5K runners and fun run/walkers (timed and untimed participants) will receive their race medal as they cross the finish line. The timing company has chipped the bibs to record race times and will have a QR code and website available to check your race times and finisher status.
    • Finisher medals will be provided at the closing ceremony to the: Top 3 Ages 18 & Under male/female, Top 3 Ages 19-35 Female/Male, Top 3 Ages 36-54 Female/Male, and Top 3 Ages 55+ Female/Male. A prize will be awards to the 1st place finisher in each category.
