2022 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

 

Colin M. Kingston, MD
Tidewater Orthopaedics
Medical Honoree


Knee and sports medicine doctor, Colin M. Kingston, M.D., has been with Tidewater Orthopaedics since 2003. Prior to his time with Tidewater, Dr. Kingston was a flight surgeon and an orthopaedic surgeon during operations Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.

Dr. Kingston is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a subspecialty certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He serves his patients by doing his best to resolve their issues and looks forward to seeing the patients’ quality of life improve.

Dr. Kingston, his wife and their two children call Yorktown, VA home. In his spare time he is very involved with his children’s extracurricular activities and mentoring high school and college students that have interest in pursuing a career in medicine.

 

Lauren Daniel
Ankylosing Spondylitis
Young Adult Honoree


Lauren Daniel is a junior at the College of William & Mary. She began experiencing hip and back pain in 2018 and was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis at the age of sixteen. 

Her condition is managed with medications which allows Lauren to stay active. She enjoys horseback riding and is on the Equestrian Team at William & Mary. After graduating from William & Mary with a degree in neuroscience, she hopes to attend medical school. 

She served as the Youth Honoree for the 2019 Jingle Bell Run Roanoke and is excited to serve again for the 2022 Jingle Bell Run Newport News.
