Caroline Mosca
Juvenile Arthritis
Young Adult Honoree

Caroline is an enthusiastic 20-year-old from Augusta, ME, and is extremely excited to be this year’s Jingle Bell Run Honoree! In the past, she has volunteered for the Arthritis Foundation’s Walk to Cure Arthritis and National Virtual JA Camp. The Arthritis Foundation promotes a cause which Caroline is incredibly passionate about, as she was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis (JA) at the age of 3. She’s aware of the physical and emotional toll that arthritis takes, and wants to help reduce that burden for others. Caroline also studies full-time at the University of Maine, where she’s double majoring in Psychology and Child Development.

Madeleine Meade
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Juvenile Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Maddie is a kind and empathetic 12-year-old from Keene, NH. She was diagnosed with ehlers-danlos syndrome and juvenile arthritis at 11. She is the oldest of 3 siblings and has never let her pain or difficulties come before her desire to be the best big sister. She is a wonderful 6th grade student and an amazing self-advocate for her independence. This past summer she attended Camp D-H, and found her self-confidence, and sense of community. She was able to make physical and emotional connections with the other campers and counselors there, which has helped empower her. One day she hopes to use what she has learned to help others.
