Leia Gladstone
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

Shortly after her 19th birthday, Leia was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Here symptoms included joint swelling, fatigue, brain fog, and various aches and pains.

Her family urged her to visit her primary care physician (PCP). Thankfully, Leia's PCP listened to her concerns and connected her with a Rheumatologist who confirmed it was RA.

The years to follow were full of doctor visits, steroid injections, and research. Leia’s resiliency paid off.

Because of the Arthritis Foundation, Leia has hope that she can continue to live life pain-free and that there will be a cure for arthritis in her lifetime!
