Allison Alberts Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Adult Honoree Allison Alberts of Sturgeon Bay was diagnosed at age 12 with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Allison got involved with the Arthritis Foundation at the 2015 Jingle Bell Run, then in 2017 as the Young Adult Honoree for the Walk to Cure Arthritis. “Growing up with JIA has come with many struggles; however, I have had incredible doctors and nurses, along with the support from my family, friends, and the Arthritis Foundation.” Allison is currently a senior at UW - La Crosse, graduating with a major in biomedical science and minors in chemistry and nutrition.
