Katie Maxwell Rheumatoid Arthritis Teen Honoree Katie Maxwell won’t let her arthritis stop her from getting her jingle on this winter. She was a very active athlete, playing basketball, volleyball, and running track. Everything changed when she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 12. It hasn’t been easy, but she has made a lot of progress and stays optimistic that she will continue to get better. She has a message for kids just starting this journey, “I know how scary it is, not knowing if the pain will ever go away, so I just want them to know things can improve.” Please join Katie by registering today for the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run Michigan! |
